Reading Fun Inc by Tom Chatfield is giving me lots of ideas regarding a potential game based on the work of P G Wodehouse.
One interesting tie up or connection with Terry Pratchett is that he is apparently a keen participant in the virtual world of Second Life, and when he was asked in 2008 if Second Life would ever appear in his books he replied “As far as I am concerned, my books are Second Life” (Fun Inc 2010 Ed, page 118).
Seems to me that maybe one way to create a Wodehouse game (without commercial backing) might be for a number of Wodehouse enthusiasts to go online and enter the Second Life “world” and start creating suitable settings – country houses, rural English villages, swanky city apartments, and of course not forgetting the Drones Club. Second Life being “self build” by the participants it seems at least theoretically…
